ProfileThe rookie racer this year is Rod Harrison, who gained his licence at Easter with two 5 second passes at over 200 mph. He’s been drag racing since 2007, after 25 years of tractor pulling. The car is unusual in that it is the first TAD in Europe to run a quick drive / B&J auto gear box. The team will be starting with conservative tune-up and building on it as they go along. They wish to thank NUA Motors for their continuous support, Willow Transport Solutions and RKS motorsport, also Rods wife Kim and the crew for their continuous dedication in keeping the team alive; Karl, Natasha, Andy, Lisa, Anais, Lee, Paul and Jono. The team have had help from Dave Wilson, whom they first met when they were tractor pulling. Karl has been to use his flow bench to help set up the fuel system on the car, but he’s done a lot of engine building over the years for methanol and nitro cars so this shouldn’t be too steep a learning curve
